2. Insufficient Plastic Deformation: Insufficient pressure during the upsetting stage fails to effectively expel oxides and impurities from the joint, resulting in weak joint bonding, reduced strength, and affecting welding reliability.
3. Increased Spatter and Defects: Insufficient pressure during heating may cause metal spatter, increasing operational hazards and creating defects such as porosity and looseness in the weld area.
II. Effects of Excessive Pressure
1. Material Performance Deterioration: Excessive upsetting pressure can cause excessive deformation of metal grains, reducing the impact toughness and fatigue life of the joint, thus weakening the durability of the welded structure.
2. Increased Risk of Mechanical Damage: Long-term overpressure operation will increase the load on the hydraulic cylinder, seals, and pipelines, potentially leading to seal rupture, oil pipe bursting, or hydraulic valve jamming, shortening equipment life.
3. Workpiece Damage: Applying excessive clamping force to thin-walled or precision parts can directly cause indentations, deformation, or even punctures, affecting the appearance and function of the finished product.
III. Systemic Consequences
1. Potential for Control Failure: Abnormal pressure may reflect sensor malfunctions or abnormal hydraulic valve responses. If not addressed promptly, it can easily lead to pressure fluctuations and loss of control.
2. Safety Accident Risk: In extreme cases, uncontrolled pressure may cause sudden equipment malfunctions or component breakage, posing a risk of personal injury, especially in high-load operating environments.
