For the quality requirements of the welded joint, the pe butt welder should have a certain strength and plasticity in the joint, and more attention should be paid to the latter. Generally, due to the characteristics of the process itself, the joint quality of resistance butt welding is poor and cannot be directly used for important structures. But flash butt welding, under proper process conditions, can obtain high-quality joints with almost the same properties as the base metal.
