1. Appearance and connection inspection
Line appearance inspection: Carefully check whether the outer skin of the welding machine power line, control line and other lines is damaged, cracked, aged, etc. If found, it should be replaced in time to prevent leakage and short circuit. At the same time, check whether the insulation layer of the line is damaged. If the internal metal wire core is exposed, it must be handled immediately.
Connection point inspection: Check the various electrical connection points inside and outside the welding machine, such as plugs, sockets, wiring terminals, etc., to ensure that the connection is firm, without looseness, oxidation, overheating and discoloration. For loose connection points, tighten them in time; for connection points with oxide layers, they need to be polished clean with sandpaper to ensure good contact.
2. Electrical component inspection
Component appearance inspection: Open the welding machine casing (power off) and check the internal electrical components, such as transformers, contactors, relays, capacitors, etc., for abnormal phenomena such as burning, deformation, bulging, leakage, etc. If the components are found to be damaged, they should be replaced with components of the same specifications in time.
Functional test: Regularly perform functional tests on some key electrical components, such as using a multimeter to detect whether the values of resistance and capacitance are within the normal range, and check whether the contacts of contactors and relays can be normally attracted and disconnected to ensure that these components can work properly.
3. Control system inspection
Control panel inspection: Check whether the buttons, switches, indicator lights, etc. on the control panel are working properly, and whether there are any button failures or indicator lights are not on. If there are any problems, repair or replace the corresponding parts in time.
Display screen inspection: Check whether the display screen of the welding machine can clearly display data and information, and whether there are any problems such as incomplete display, blur, garbled characters, etc. If the display screen fails, contact a professional for repair or replacement.
4. Grounding system maintenance
Grounding line inspection: Ensure that the grounding line of the welding machine is firmly connected, the grounding electrode is well driven into the ground, and the grounding resistance meets safety requirements (generally not more than 4 ohms). Regularly check whether the grounding line is damaged or broken, and whether the soil around the grounding electrode is loose or lost. If there are any problems, repair and deal with them in time.
Ground resistance measurement: Use a ground resistance tester to measure the ground resistance regularly. If the ground resistance value is found to exceed the standard, the cause should be found and solved in time. The problem can be checked by checking the depth of the grounding electrode, soil moisture, and the connection between the grounding electrode and the line.
5. Cleaning and environmental maintenance
Internal cleaning: Regularly clean the dust and debris inside the welding machine to prevent them from accumulating on electrical components and affecting heat dissipation and insulation performance. You can use tools such as a hair dryer or a vacuum cleaner for cleaning, but be careful to operate it when the power is off and there is no static electricity.
Environmental inspection: The welding machine should be placed in a dry and well-ventilated environment, avoiding places with humidity, dust, high temperature, and corrosive gases. Check whether the surrounding environment meets the requirements. If the environmental conditions are harsh, take corresponding protective measures, such as installing dehumidifiers, air conditioners and other equipment.
