1. Basic Maintenance Tools
Wrench Set: Used for removing and tightening hydraulic system bolts and milling cutter mounting components.
Hex Wrench: Suitable for adjusting precision components such as milling cutter chucks or hydraulic valves.
Screwdriver Set: Includes Phillips and slotted screwdrivers for maintaining circuits or small mechanical components.
2. Specialized Clamps and Collets
ER Collets/Spring Collets: Used to secure milling cutters. Common sizes include ER11 and ER20. The selection depends on the cutter shank diameter.
Hydraulic Chucks or Hydraulic Soft Jaws: Suitable for high-precision milling cutter positioning and require use with a hydraulic system.
Drawback Collets (DC Collets): Used for quick tool changes and clamping on CNC milling machines.
3. Measuring and Calibration Tools
Dial indicator: Checks cutter radial runout to ensure installation accuracy (allowable runout is typically ≤0.2mm).
Squared square or scribe: Calibrates the position of the cutter against the workpiece.
Vernier caliper/micrometer: Measures cutter diameter or chuck size.
4. Hydraulic System Tools
Hydraulic hose wrench: Used to connect or replace hydraulic lines.
Pressure gauge: Monitors hydraulic system pressure to ensure stable cutter clamping force.
5. Accessories
Protective sleeve: Protects the end of the high-speed rotating tool bar to prevent entanglement.
Lubricating oil: Lubricates the tool bar support bearings.
Precautions: Disconnect power and release hydraulic system pressure before making any adjustments to ensure safety.
When using a dial indicator to check cutter runout, slowly rotate the tool bar in the opposite direction and measure tooth by tooth.
The hydraulic clamp must be aligned with the worktable T-slot to avoid interference.
