1. Electrical connection parts
1. Power cord and output line
The power cord is the line that connects the electric fusion welding machine to the power supply. In daily use, due to frequent plugging, unplugging, bending, dragging and other operations, it is easy to cause problems such as damage to the outer skin of the power cord and breakage of the internal wire. Especially at the construction site, the power cord may be damaged by external forces such as squeezing by heavy objects and scratching by sharp objects.
The output line is used to connect the electric fusion welding machine and the electric fusion pipe fittings, and it also faces similar damage risks. In addition, the output line transmits electrical energy during the welding process, and heat is generated when the current passes through. If it is used for a long time or the heat dissipation conditions are not good, it may accelerate the aging of the output line. Once there is a problem with the power cord or the output line, it may cause poor contact, short circuit and other faults, affecting the normal progress of the welding work.
2. Plugs and sockets
The plug and socket are the key parts of the electrical connection of the electric fusion welding machine. The pins of the plug are easily worn and deformed during frequent plugging and unplugging, resulting in poor contact with the socket. The metal sheet inside the socket may also lose its elasticity or be oxidized due to long-term use, causing the contact resistance to increase after the plug is inserted, resulting in heating.
This heating phenomenon not only wastes electricity, but may also cause safety accidents such as fire. In some humid environments, plugs and sockets may also leak electricity, posing a threat to the safety of operators.
2. Internal electrical components
1. Relay
The relay plays the role of controlling the on and off of the circuit in the electric fusion welding machine. During frequent welding operations, the contacts of the relay will open and close continuously, which is prone to arc wear and ablation. When the contacts are worn to a certain extent, it will cause poor contact, affect the normal conduction of the circuit, and cause the control function of the welding machine to malfunction.
For example, there may be problems such as the welding process cannot be started or stopped normally, or the welding time control is inaccurate.
2. Capacitor
The capacitor plays the role of filtering and energy storage in the circuit of the welding machine. With the increase of usage time and the influence of the working environment of the welding machine (such as temperature and humidity changes), the capacitor may have problems such as leakage and decreased capacity. Inside the welding machine, the capacitor bears voltage for a long time. If the voltage fluctuates greatly or the welding machine has an overvoltage fault, the capacitor is more susceptible to damage.
Damage to the capacitor may cause the output voltage of the welding machine to be unstable, affect the welding quality, and may even cause damage to other electrical components.
3. Rectifier
The rectifier is used to convert AC power into DC power and is an important component in the circuit of the electric fusion welding machine. During operation, components such as diodes in the rectifier may be damaged due to overheating, overcurrent, etc. For example, if the input voltage of the welding machine is unstable, the excessively high voltage may exceed the withstand voltage of the rectifier component, causing the component to break down.
After the rectifier is damaged, the welding machine cannot output DC power normally, cannot provide stable power for the electric fusion pipe fittings, and thus cannot perform normal welding operations.
Three, display and operation components
1. Display screen (if any)
The display screen is a component on the operation panel of the electric fusion welding machine used to display welding parameters (such as voltage, time, etc.), working status and fault information. Due to frequent use, the display screen may have problems such as blurred display, no display, garbled characters, etc.
For example, in a high temperature and high humidity environment, the circuit inside the display screen may be damp and short-circuited; after long-term use, the backlight source of the display screen may age, resulting in insufficient display brightness or uneven display. These problems will affect the operator's judgment of the working status of the welding machine, and thus affect the accuracy of the welding operation.
2. Buttons
The buttons on the operation panel are an important way for operators to interact with the electric fusion welding machine. They are used to set welding parameters, start and stop welding, and other operations. The buttons may fail or get stuck during frequent pressing.
For example, the micro switch under the button may not work properly due to dust ingress, spring fatigue, etc. When the button fails, the operator cannot accurately control the welding machine, which may cause the welding operation to fail.
