PE pipe welding quality controlling
The ”hot welding“ refers to the use of mechanical equipment such as a hot-melt welder to heat the surfaces of two welded parts until they reach a certain melting temperature, so that the two pipes will be one. Hot melt welding is divided into butt fusion welding, socket welding and saddle welding. Among them, butt fusion welding is a more common connection method, and it is also the most widely used connection method for PE pipes. The welding equipment is relatively simple, the connection cost is relatively economical, the welding joints are firm and reliable, the welding joints that exceed the strength of the base material can be obtained, and the welding has good sealing properties. Therefore, butt fusion welding method is popular.
