I. Pre-operation Preparation
1. Tool Check: Ensure all tools, including the cleaver, Miller pliers, alcohol swabs, and heat shrink tubing, are complete and in good working order.
2. Equipment Activation: After powering on, activate the device by scanning the QR code via Bluetooth on your mobile phone and selecting the corresponding model code.
II. Operating Steps
1. Fiber Optic Processing: Use Miller pliers to remove approximately 3-4 cm of the fiber optic coating. Clean the surface 2-3 times with alcohol swabs.
Place the fiber optic cable into the cleaver's guide groove, align it with the scale, and then cut.
2. Fusion Splicing Process: Place the fiber optic cable into the V-groove of the fusion splicer, ensuring the end face is between the electrode rods.
Cover with the windproof cover, select the fusion splicing mode (default SM-SM), and begin fusion.
3. Heat Shrink Protection: Move the heat shrink tubing to the splice point and place it in the heater until the indicator light goes out.
III. Precautions
1. Parameter Settings: Adjust parameters such as pre-discharge current and main discharge current according to the fiber type.
2. Equipment maintenance: Clean the fixtures, mirrors and V-grooves regularly. Electrode life is approximately 2000 cycles.
