How to check the temperature control system of the welding machine?

Jun 06, 2025

1. Check the temperature setting
Check the temperature setting of the thermostat: Make sure that the temperature setting of the thermostat is within the range required for PPR pipe welding, usually 253℃-274℃. If the temperature setting is too low, it may cause insufficient melting of the surface of the pipe and fittings, resulting in false welding; if the temperature is too high, it may destroy the molecular structure of the pipe and fittings, causing the welding part to become brittle.
2. Measure the temperature of the welding area
Measure with a thermometer: Use a thermometer to measure the actual temperature of the welding area to confirm whether it is consistent with the temperature set by the thermostat to ensure that the temperature is within the appropriate range.
3. Check the temperature control circuit and sensor
Check the circuit: Check whether the temperature control circuit has a short circuit or an open circuit to ensure that the circuit connection is normal.
Check the sensor: Check whether the temperature sensor is accurate, and calibrate or replace it if necessary to ensure the temperature stability during welding.
4. Check the constant temperature time
Check the constant temperature time: The length of the constant temperature time is one of the important indicators of the performance of hot melt welding equipment. After the hot melt equipment is heated to the set temperature, there is still a problem of heat consumption. Especially when operating in winter or at wind outlets, the heat consumption is relatively large, which requires the equipment to have strong thermal energy storage capacity and timely replenishment capabilities.
