1) General provisions
① This chapter is applicable to manual arc welding and argon arc welding of on-site welding equipment and pipelines of carbon steel with carbon content less than or equal to 0.30%, low-alloy structure, low-temperature steel, heat-resistant steel, stainless steel, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant high-alloy steel , Carbon dioxide gas shielded welding, submerged arc welding and oxygen - acetylene welding.
② Welds are to be arranged to avoid stress concentration areas, to facilitate welding and heat treatment, and to comply with the following requirements.
a. When steel plate coiled pipes or equipment and container barrel joints and barrel joints, and barrel joints and heads are assembled, the distance between two adjacent longitudinal welds should be greater than 3 times the wall thickness and not less than 100mm; The distance between two adjacent longitudinal seams on a joint shall not be less than 200mm.
b. The distance between the weld center of the pipe on the heating surface of the heating furnace and the pipe bending starting point, the outer wall of the header and the edge of the support and hanger should not be less than 70mm; the distance between two butt welds on the same straight pipe section should not be less than 150mm.
c. The distance from the center of the butt weld of pipes other than welded and formed pipe fittings to the starting point of the pipe bending should not be less than the outer diameter of the pipe, and should not be less than 100mm; the distance between the butt weld of the pipe and the edge of the support and hanger should not Should be less than 50mm. The distance between the center planes of two butt welds of the same straight pipe: when the nominal diameter is greater than or equal to 150mm, it should not be less than 150mm; when the nominal diameter is less than 150mm, it should not be less than the outer diameter of the pipe.
d. It is not advisable to make holes on the weld and its edge.
③ The groove form and size of the weld shall comply with the requirements of the design documents and welding operation instructions. When there is no regulation, the groove form and size of the submerged arc welding seam shall comply with the provisions of the current national standard "Basic Form and Size of the Bevel of Submerged Arc Welding Seam" GB 986; 20 regulations.
