1. Pre-welding Preparation: Check if the power supply voltage is stable and ensure the welding machine is properly grounded. Use a scraper to remove the oxide layer from the welding surface of the pipe to a depth of approximately 0.1-0.2mm, and mark the insertion depth with a marker.
2. Fitting Installation: Insert the pipe into the electrofusion fitting to the marked position, install the clamp to fix it, and ensure that the misalignment between the fitting and the pipe is less than 2%. Connect the welding machine output terminal to the fitting terminal, ensuring a secure and uninterrupted connection.
3. Parameter Settings and Welding:
Mode Selection: Select "Automatic" or "Manual" mode according to the welding machine's instruction manual. Automatic mode obtains parameters by scanning the fitting barcode; manual mode requires inputting voltage, time, etc., according to the fitting label.
Constant Voltage/Constant Current Setting: For constant voltage mode, set the voltage value (e.g., 39.5V); for constant current mode, set the current value. When welding in sections, set different voltages/currents and times for each stage according to the requirements of the pipe fitting (e.g., 30V/50 seconds for the first stage, 35V/60 seconds for the second stage).
Starting Welding: After confirming that the parameters are correct, start the welding machine and begin timing. If an abnormal output alarm (e.g., "0001") occurs during welding, check and reset immediately.
4. Cooling and Inspection: After welding, the pipe fitting must be allowed to cool naturally to the specified time (according to the manufacturer's data). During cooling, movement or stress is strictly prohibited. After cooling, inspect the weld joint; it should be free of defects such as incomplete welds, over-welds, and bubbles.
