1. Clean the cooling system regularly
The cooling system is a key part to prevent overheating of the equipment. Clean the cooling fan, heat sink and vents regularly to ensure that the heat dissipation channel is unobstructed. The specific operations are as follows:
Cleaning the cooling fan: Use compressed air or a soft brush to clean the dust on the cooling fan.
Cleaning the heat sink: Wipe the heat sink with a soft cloth to ensure that its surface is clean.
Check the vents: Make sure that the vents of the equipment are not blocked, and clean dust or debris if necessary.
2. Check the cooling system
Some PE butt welding machines are equipped with a cooling system (such as water cooling or air cooling). Regularly check whether the cooling system is operating normally:
Check the coolant: For the water cooling system, regularly check whether the coolant is sufficient and replace the coolant if necessary.
Check the cooling fan: Make sure that the cooling fan is operating normally without abnormal noise or jamming.
Check the cooling pipe: Check whether the cooling pipe is unobstructed and leak-free.
3. Reasonably set welding parameters
Excessive welding temperature is one of the main causes of equipment overheating. Reasonably set welding parameters to avoid excessive temperature:
Set parameters according to pipe specifications: According to the diameter, wall thickness and material of the PE pipe, select the appropriate welding temperature, time and pressure.
Avoid long-term continuous work: Long-term continuous welding will cause the equipment to overheat. It is recommended to arrange the welding time reasonably to avoid long-term high-load operation of the equipment.
4. Check the power supply and electrical system
Unstable power supply voltage or electrical system failure may cause equipment overheating. Check the power supply and electrical system regularly:
Check the power supply voltage: Make sure that the power supply voltage meets the equipment requirements (usually 220V/380V) to avoid excessive or low voltage.
Check the power cord: Make sure that the power cord is not damaged, loose or aged, and replace the power cord if necessary.
Check electrical components: Regularly check whether electrical components such as thermostats, relays and fuses are working properly to avoid overheating of the equipment due to failures.
5. Use a suitable welding environment
The operating environment of the equipment has a direct impact on the heat dissipation effect. Ensure that the equipment operates in a suitable environment:
Avoid high temperature environment: The equipment should be stored in a low temperature environment and avoid using it in high temperature, direct sunlight or poorly ventilated places.
Keep the equipment dry: avoid moisture in the equipment, as a humid environment may result in reduced heat dissipation.
6. Install an overheating protection device
Some PE butt welders are equipped with an overheating protection device, which will automatically shut down when the temperature of the equipment is too high. Regularly check whether the overheating protection device is working properly:
Check the overheating protection switch: ensure that the overheating protection switch is sensitive and reliable.
Calibrate the temperature sensor regularly: ensure the accuracy of the temperature sensor to avoid overheating of the equipment due to sensor failure.
7. Regular maintenance and inspection
Perform a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the equipment regularly to detect potential problems in a timely manner:
Monthly inspection: Perform a comprehensive inspection of the equipment every month, including the heat dissipation system, cooling system, electrical components, etc.
Regular calibration: calibrate the temperature sensor and welding parameters of the equipment every 3-6 months to ensure that the equipment operates normally.
Replace wearing parts: Regularly replace wearing parts such as sealing rings, heating plates, etc. to avoid overheating of the equipment due to aging of components.
8. Operating specifications
Avoid frequent starting: Frequent starting of the equipment may cause the motor to overheat. It is recommended to arrange the welding time reasonably.
Avoid overloading: Do not exceed the maximum welding capacity of the equipment to avoid overheating of the equipment due to overloading.
