1. Continuously high or fluctuating fusion loss
Single-mode fiber fusion loss repeatedly exceeds 0.05dB, or ultra-low loss fiber cannot be stabilized within 0.02dB.
Even with good fiber cleaving quality and clean end faces, "FAIL" or red warnings are frequently displayed.
2. Abnormal fiber core alignment, misaligned images
X/Y axis fiber cores are not aligned in the microscope image, and cladding misalignment exceeds 0.5μm.
The fusion splicer displays "alignment failed" or "image blurry," and cleaning the V-groove and lens does not improve the situation.
3. Significant changes in environmental or operating conditions
Temperature compensation calibration is required when temperature changes exceed 10℃, humidity rises suddenly, or there is strong vibration at the site.
Before transferring equipment from indoor to outdoor operation, or before construction in high-altitude areas.
4. Electrode usage reaches critical number or abnormal condition
After approximately 500 uses, electrodes may oxidize, become dull, or exhibit arc deviation or uneven intensity.
After cleaning or replacing the electrodes, discharge calibration must be performed to reposition the discharge center.
5. Continuous welding failure or abnormal parameters after equipment restart
Welding instability may occur after prolonged equipment disuse or system upgrades.
If stable losses cannot be restored after performing the "Discharge Calibration" function, contact the manufacturer for optical system calibration.
